Calculations For A Typical Coal Power Plant

Home Page // Calculations for a typical coal power plant

The average power plant uses 0.7 tons of coal to produce 1MW.

Per our heat and mass balance, 20 tons of coal produces 64.46MW prior to the generator.

Based on these calculations, 1 ton of coal through our system produces ~3MW.

Therefore, 0.7 tons of coal produces ~2MW.

1 ton of coal produces ~2 tons of CO2.

Our system produces 50% of CO2 as our system burns only 50% of the coal to produce the same amount of power.
